This Privacy Policy relates to our use of any personal information you provide to us online, via phone or text, by email, in letters or correspondence.

HVSE is fully committed to safeguarding your personal and sensitive information, as outlined in HVSE’s Data Protection Policy. Whenever you provide details of a personal or sensitive nature we are legally obliged to use your information in line with all laws concerning the protection of personal information, including the General Data Protection Regulation 2016 (GDPR).

2.  What personal information will be collected and how will HVSE collect it?

Whilst using our website you may be required to provide personal information (name, address, email, telephone number, etc.) in order to respond to your queries or requests.

We will ensure that all personal information supplied is held securely in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679, as adopted into law of the United Kingdom in the Data Protection Act 2018. Further, by providing telephone, fax and email details, you consent to HVSE contacting you using that method. You have the right at any time to request a copy of the personal information we hold on you. Should you wish to receive a copy of this, or would like to be removed from our database, please contact us at info@hvse.co.uk.

HVSE will use your personal information for several purposes including the following:

  • to deal with your requests and enquiries;
  • to monitor and analyse HVSE website usage; and
  • to analyse and improve the services offered on HVSE websites.

4. When will HVSE contact me?

HVSE may contact you:

  • to respond to your requests and enquiries

5. Will I be contacted for marketing purposes?

HVSE will not contact use with any marketing purposes.

6. Will HVSE share my personal information with anyone else?

We will keep your information secure and confidential except where disclosure is required or permitted by law (for example to government bodies and law enforcement agencies). Generally, we will only use your information within HVSE.

7. What if I am a user aged 16 or under?

If you are aged 16 or under, please get your parent/guardian's permission before you provide any personal information to HVSE. Users without this consent are not allowed to provide us with personal information.

10.  Complaints

If you are unhappy with the way we have handled your personal information, you have the right to make a complaint to the Information Commissioner’s Office as our supervisory authority.

11. Cookies
A cookie is a small amount of data, which often includes a unique identifier that is sent to your computer or mobile phone (referred to here as a "device") browser from a website's computer and is stored on your device's hard drive. Each website can send its own cookie to your browser if your browser's preferences allow it, but (to protect your privacy) your browser only permits a website to access the cookies it has already sent to you, not the cookies sent to you by other websites. Many websites do this whenever a user visits their website to track online traffic flows.

On HVSE's websites, cookies record information about your online preferences and allow us to tailor the websites to your interests. Users can set their devices to accept all cookies, to notify them when a cookie is issued, or not to receive cookies at any time. The last of these means that certain personalised features cannot then be provided to that user and accordingly they may not be able to take full advantage of all the website's features. Each browser is different, so check the "Help" menu of your browser to learn how to change your cookie preferences.

During any visit to an HVSE website, the pages you see, along with a cookie, are downloaded to your device. Many websites do this, because cookies enable website publishers to do useful things like find out whether the device (and probably its user) has visited the website before. This is done on a repeat visit by checking to see, and finding, the cookie left there on the last visit.

How does HVSE use cookies?
Information supplied by cookies can help us to analyse the profile of our visitors and help us to provide you with a better user experience. Certain other areas of the HVSE website use cookies for a specific reason - for example, to help an online webinar work effectively on your device.

12. Changes to HVSE's Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy is regularly reviewed and updated from time to time, so you may wish to check it each time you submit personal information to HVSE. The date of the most recent revisions will appear on this page. If you do not agree to these changes, please do not continue to use HVSE websites to submit personal information to HVSE. If material changes are made to the Privacy Policy, we will notify you by placing a prominent notice on the website.
